Blog post #1!

Hi all! my name is Ashley Perry. I am from Anchorage, Ak and, am currently a sophomore studying elementary education. I view myself as a very adventurous and spontaneous person. With that, traveling is my favorite thing and is something I can never have enough of. Growing up, my family and I moved around frequently. I have lived all over the U.S, from coast to coast. These childhood experiences have given me a great respect for all things that are new and different. This includes all cultures, cuisines, music, and language that are unlike mine. I have an unquenchable fascination with learning and seeing more!

Along with that, a specific interest of mine is South America.
Specifically, the ancient ruins of the Inca people. It is a goal in my life to go to Peru and see these for myself! I find it so fascinating to observe how much people and societies as a whole have evolved!

As for my relationship with music. It has changed and fluctuated throughout my life. When I was younger, I did play the Viola. As I grew older it became significantly less prevalent in my routine until eventually, it completely vanished. Now as an adult, I exclusively listen to music. I listen to a little bit of everything from rap to pop, I do not listen to any specific style of music. The genre, or artist, I listen to just depends on my mood and what I am feeling. In regard to concerts, I attend them when I can. Living in Alaska, these opportunities don't happen too often. I thoroughly enjoy hearing the music that I stream being played live, it always gives me a new love for the artist.

For an example of music I like, I choose People Watching by Conan Gray. Although his discography is not new addition to my playlist. He has been a favorite of mine recently because of the new album he released. It has been on a continuous loop!
